A 25-year veteran of Oklahoma government and politics, Ahlgren has a client list that includes more than 40 current members of the Oklahoma Legislature. Ahlgren also has been instrumental in passing bi-partisan initiatives in Tulsa, where he lives. In 2009 Ahlgren was the general consultant for the successful elections of Dewey Bartlett as Mayor of Tulsa and Preston Doerflinger as City Auditor of Tulsa. Ahlgren was publicly singled out by Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune for the role his strategic planning played in the passage of the city’s Vision 2025 Campaign, and he was a major player in the November 2008 passage of Tulsa’s “Fix Our Streets” $451 million, five-year comprehensive street improvements plan.
Ahlgren was most recently chief of staff for U.S. Representative Markwayne Mullin for 4 years. Formerly Karl served as a longtime congressional aide, serving as chief of staff to then-U.S. Congressman (and former U.S. Senator) Tom Coburn between 1994 and 2000, and as field director to former U.S. Senator Don Nickles for ten years prior. In his congressional duties, Ahlgren was widely recognized for his ability to work with both parties to assist rural communities in northern and southeastern Oklahoma. From working to solve water and flood issues in northeastern Oklahoma to directing efforts to ship Oklahoma hay to drought-stricken farmers in 10 states, former Senate Pro-Tempore Coffee said Ahlgren has demonstrated a unique ability to serve the public.
Former state Representative Trebor Worthen has built an impressive and award-winning resume as a political consultant. His companies have helped elect countless state legislators, members of Congress, district attorneys, judges, statewide elected officials and mayors in the past decade.
His most recent successes include acting as general consultant for the Tulsa Vision campaign, which passed the historic Arkansas River after decades of failures while also passing a public safety tax and more streets dollars. Trebor has directed creative direct mail services for hundreds of elected officials in Texas, Ohio, Missouri, Oklahoma and other states.
Worthen was elected to the Oklahoma Legislature at the age of 24, then its youngest member, and he was named a Rising Star in American Politics by Campaigns and Elections in 2011. He was a general consultant in U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin’s campaigns and re-elections for Congress, was consultant to former Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett’s campaigns, and has been involved in Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett’s campaigns in addition helping elected statewide down-ballot candidates from corporation commissioner to lieutenant governor.
An expert in fundraising as well, Trebor has led fundraising teams in the raising of millions of dollars for political campaigns, issue advocacy groups and non-profit organizations. He also is a former political director for the Oklahoma Republican Party, and was chairman of the Oklahoma Republican State Committee in 2006, directing a seven-figure fundraising project.
Trebor and his wife, Jenna, are active members of Life Church and have two young sons, Bobby, 3, and Jake, 1.
Marian holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master’s degree in business. Her political experience encompasses federal, local and state campaigns, from scheduling and grassroots coordination to media relations, fundraising and event planning. Marian formerly was the executive director of the Oklahoma Republican State House Committee, which led the GOP to its first majority in modern history. Marian, a mother of three, also is the executive director of the Oklahoma Speaker's Ball, Inc., an annual charity fundraiser.
Jenna Worthen, MPM serves as the vice president for development for Marathon Consulting. She has nearly 10 years experience in political and nonprofit fundraising and management. Worthen always has had a passion for politics and nonprofits. She got her political start at age eight, when she gave a speech in front of the city council and a crowd of more than 800 to halt the expansion of a road in their community. The initiative was defeated and their family-oriented community remained free of heavy traffic.
She began working for in politics in 2008 as a fundraising assistant and later was promoted to an associate and account manager. She took a brief break from politics to pursue her nonprofit passion. She worked for the American Cancer Society, where she was awarded the honor of Rising Star and her gala event was recognized as one of the top ten in the nation. She earned her master’s of political management from The George Washington University and her undergraduate degree in politics and law from Southern Nazarene University. Worthen is a mom who works and live in Oklahoma City with her husband and two young boys, Bobby and Jake.
Carly has years of experience in the coordination of PAC operations including compliance reporting, event planning, and the development and launch of solicitation campaigns for membership and fundraising. She also has years of experience in many HR functions including talent acquisition.
Before joining Marathon, Carly worked at Chesapeake Energy and Devon Energy.
Carly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma.
Carly and her husband Josh are proud parents of their son Jet. They are members of Life Church. During her free time, Carly enjoys spending time outdoors with family in the mountains or at the lake.
Julia Jernigan serves as senior fundraising associate for Marathon Consulting Group. Her expertise in strategic network development uniquely positions her to help our candidates do the same as they seek election to office. For more many years, Julia has been passionate about helping her fellow Oklahoman. After finishing up her degree with a Bachelor of Science, Julia moved on to attend graduate school for a Masters in Social Work and Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
Julia has worked in a variety of areas both in a hospital, hospice, and community health clinics. During graduate school, Julia was a presenter at the 2012 Oklahoma National Association of Social Work Conference and worked in numerous organizations on campus. She was led to Citizens Caring for Children, where she was the Program Coordinator, while still in graduate school. After graduation, Julia’s passion for working in the mental health field led her to work as the Program Director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Oklahoma.
Today, Julia is the Executive Director for the Oklahoma Behavioral Health Association and Foundation. She is an active community member and spends her free time volunteering and on the board for numerous charitable agencies around the city including the the Care Center ReMerge, Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women, Junior League OKC, LOYAL and various community projects.
Darrell Todd is an Addy, Pollie and Reed award-winning graphic designer with more than 25 years experience as an art director and senior designer in political, corporate, tourism and non-profit organizations. Todd holds degrees in art and graphic communications, and has taught graphic design at the college level. A naturally talented cartoonist and illustrator, Darrell has refined his style over years as a free-lance artist. He is a married father of three sons.
